Special Education Needs
Artigarvan Primary School supports SEN pupils according to the Northern Ireland Code of Practice and within a carefully differentiated learning and teaching environment. Our learning support teacher works in each of the classrooms and also has the facility to withdraw individual pupils or small groups for short sessions of intensive support. We also have a number of SEN classroom assistants. The school is adapted to suit pupils with physical difficulties. To this end we strive to promote inclusion and accessibility with regard to the physical dimensions, the curricular dimensions and the social dimensions of school, all within a caring environment.
