What the school says...
Nestled in 30 acres of picturesque Hampshire countryside, Boundary Oak School is an independent day and boarding school for children aged 2 to 16. Our beautiful campus, with its historic Grade II listed main building and expansive outdoor facilities, offers an ideal setting for a learning experience that extends far beyond the classroom.
At Boundary Oak, we are dedicated to a holistic education that encourages every child to realise their full potential. Our community is built around five core elements: a balanced curriculum, an exceptional co-curricular programme, a nurturing family atmosphere, a commitment to outdoor education and excellent pastoral care.
We believe that education should be about more than academic achievement; it should be about developing well-rounded individuals who are prepared for life beyond school. Our extensive co-curricular programme enables pupils to explore their interests, challenge themselves and develop lifelong skills. With over 100 clubs and activities, including sport, performing arts, STEM, debating, and Duke of Edinburgh awards, there is something for everyone.
Sport is integral to life at Boundary Oak, with outstanding facilities for a wide range of disciplines. While our pupils achieve success at regional and national competitions, we prioritise participation and teamwork at every level. From our youngest learners to year 11, physical activity is a cornerstone of promoting healthy bodies and minds.
Our school is more than a place of learning – it is a family. Visitors frequently notice the strong sense of community, where every child is known, valued, and supported. Small class sizes allow our dedicated staff to provide personalised attention, ensuring each child feels encouraged to thrive. We emphasise building strong relationships, both among pupils and with teachers, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.
Boundary Oak stands out for its commitment to outdoor education. Our extensive grounds, woodland school and outdoor learning spaces are regularly used for hands-on nature-based experiences. From Forest School for our youngest children to outdoor leadership courses for Senior pupils, we believe connecting with the natural world fosters resilience, creativity, and independence. Whether learning water purification, foraging for wild garlic, or making garlic bread on an open fire, we integrate outdoor learning to enrich the curriculum.
Pastoral care is at the heart of Boundary Oak. We understand that every child needs to feel safe, supported, and understood to truly thrive. Our school values are embedded in everyday life, ensuring that our pupils leave us not only with strong academic results but also with the character and confidence to succeed in life.
Boundary Oak School is where children grow in confidence, discover their passions and build lasting friendships. We invite you to visit us, meet our staff and pupils, and experience the warm, welcoming environment that makes Boundary Oak such a special place to learn and grow. ...Read more
