What The Good Schools Guide says..
‘It doesn’t matter who you are of where you come from, you’ll settle in here,’ a student told us and certainly this is a small school, so everyone is welcomed and very well known. That said, new joiners have a buddy, and group- and pair-working is commonplace. Pupils of different ages can often be seen happily chatting together on benches at lunchtimes...
What the school says...
At Gosfield School you will find a community of happy pupils and dedicated staff. Their aim is to ensure that all the young people not only fulfil their academic potential but develop into well-rounded, confident and caring individuals. Pupils range in age from 2 to 18, all of them growing at their own pace, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities. As well as superb parkland and sports fields, including a cricket pavilion, pupils benefit from well-equipped classrooms in the lovely Georgian Manor which houses the Senior School or the purpose built Prep School and Nursery. Work has recently begun on the new Performing Arts Centre, featuring a 320-seat theatre, a practice and performance auditorium and classrooms which will be open September 2022. At Gosfield, all pupils are valued and encouraged to be the best they can be - in their academic work, in sport, outdoor activities and the creative and performing arts. There he met his wife (and they were married by the headmaster). After roles at Aldenham School and at Cranleigh School, became deputy head at King Alfred School, Hampstead and first headship was at International Community School in central London. Calm and approachable, he is very visible around the school and nearly always to be found on the boundary at cricket matches. Close-to-home experience of SEN: dyslexia and autism run in the family. ‘SEN, wellbeing and inclusivity are not a bolt-on here, they’re in the school’s DNA, because we want the children to thrive, grow...
