Teaching receives widespread praise. ‘They teach well beyond the syllabus and in the most imaginative way,’ said one parent. Sport has gone from zero to hero under the guidance of the school’s award-winning head of sport. ‘The sport is phenomenal. The children are encouraged in every direction,’ said one mother. The school’s values are ‘honesty, respect, responsibility, equality, kindness, achievement, self-belief, collaboration’, but it places particular emphasis on ‘kindness and tolerance’ and encouraging every child to find their passion. Punishments are issued for misdemeanours, but clearly children are generally well behaved since the ‘broken paper-clip’ incident seems to have been a crisis moment…

Since September 2024, Henrietta Adams. Grew up in Chiswick and has lived in west London most of her life. She studied French and music at the University of London before qualifying as a solicitor and working in private practice. However, a passion for education led her to retrain and she attended the Institute of Education for her PGCE with French specialism. Previously at Chiswick & Bedford Park Prep, becoming headmistress in 2020. She is fluent in French and has spent several years living and working in France. She is also a gifted musician and a keen skier and sailor, passions she shares with her family.
