Music at SGJS is a real strength, around 50 per cent of children in three different choirs (plenty of boys singing their hearts out). All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since 2020 Matthew Copping. He gained his BEd from Anglia Ruskin University having grown up in Suffolk and Essex. First teaching post in Barking and Dagenham for four years before moving north to work in Warrington and then as a numeracy strategy consultant in Shropshire. Stockport Grammar Junior School is a selective school which accepts pupils on the basis of aptitudes and abilities. The School welcomes enquiries from parents of pupils with additional and special educational needs. Reasonable adjustments can be made within the classroom to support such pupils and the School has a Learning Support Department to co-ordinate this. Nov 09.
